Long, Lonely Winter Days

Days around here can be long in winter, especially since we don't have the daily grind of getting up early, getting ready for school, getting to school, and getting home from school like most have. That, alone, can make a day go by faster, and in our case: slower.

Besides Tuesdays and Fridays, which are both rather busy with Bible Study (for all 3 of us girls) and Enrichment School (for our 1 girl), the other days can feel long.

I know it is only for a season. Soon March will be here, and with that will come soccer practice twice a week with a game another day that week - for one child, and a combo practice-game once a week for the other. Surely I will be wishing for the lonely days of winter in just a few months, having to drive to Golden so. many. times. a. week.

All that to say that I am thankful that friends can be found! Here are a few pics of recent play-dates we've had. God always provides, even in lonely winter, and for that I am thankful.

So...winter? Just two more months to go.
