Resolution Status from 2011
I've been thinking about my last years' resolutions, how I accomplished or didn't accomplish them. Also thinking about resolutions for 2012.
Up until this year, I'd make a resolution and then forget it or not even make a resolution, but this year I kept them all in mind, until I either decided it was an unrealistic goal, or accomplished it. I am quite pleased at how I did this 2011. Here's what they were, and in green I've added how I did:
First Resolutions
One
Cutting out artificial sweeteners. I've been buying Blue Agave nectar and raw honey instead. They are so good. Success! I did well ditching artificial sweeteners. Due to some reading, it's either honey for me, or Stevie, which is natural.
Two
Ditching antiperspirants. (Since they're made with aluminum, which is not good for anyone's body let's face it.) I've been ignoring my knowledge of this ingredient for quite some time and enough is enough. I need to find a good-for-you deodorant, tho. This did NOT work for me. I tried it for a month or two, and I couldn't not smell - it was awful. I am back to my antiperspirant and appreciate smelling decent.
Three
Counting calories. Nope. I am never going to count calories. It is too much trouble. When I want to, I can portion control, but no counting calories for me.
Four
Eating more salads, fresh veggies, and lean proteins. Success! If you've followed my blog, you'll know I've been doing really well with this, at least compared to years prior. Lots of romaine and spinach in my fridge nearly at all times. I've even mostly given up meat and eat beans for protein.
Last Resolution
Five
I want to plan ahead this year. I've already started to think about the arrangements for Valentine's Day (hey, it's coming up!), as well as big plans for Thanksgiving (really far away, I know, but what I want to do will take plans). Success! Valentine's Day - all I remember was planning to take V-day pictures and get cards ordered in time to go out, and I did that. And my big goal for Thanksgiving was to meet up with my family (mom, dad, brother) for the holiday (I hadn't spent that day with them in 10 years at least), and I accomplished that! It was the best! See?I will post in a few days what my 2012 resolutions are, so check back. :)

You did AWESOME!!! =)
VERY awesome!
sounds like you have a good plan :-) watch the agave... i heard it can be hard on kidneys.....
Yup! I have given up Agave already. The Beauty Detox Solution by Kimberly Snyder said she didn't think it was something good to use, so no big deal, I gave it up. I really use Stevia the most anyway.
